Norma Sue Adams, 58, of Baxter Springs, passed away on Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at a local hospital.

Norma Sue Hayward was born Oct. 29, 1946, in Baxter Springs, the daughter of Fred Wilbur and Eva (Grazier) Hayward. Sue worked as a maintenance supervisor for Celtron, Inc., for 18 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Spring River Boat Club in Rest-A-While, Kan.

P.D. Adams and Norma Sue Hayward were united in marriage Dec. 26, 1963, in Columbus, Kan. He survives of the home. A daughter, Paula Sue Adams, preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1987.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Lee Adams; two grandchildren, Danyell and Milana, of Baxter Springs; a sister, Mary Greenfeather, of Baxter Springs; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 10, at Derfelts Baxter Chapel in Baxter Springs. Rev. Neal Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Lowell Cemetery, Lowell, Kan. Pallbearers will be Larry Cure, Mick McKinley, Rex Gandy, Bob Qualls, Tim Green Jr. and Mike Frazier. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Tinley, Jerry Watkins Jr., Jackie Hayward, Mike Huffman and Mike King. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Sunday evening, Jan. 9, at Derfelts Baxter Chapel.
