Mrs. Ella Marie Simmons, 91, died Monday at the Lafayette Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be at 2pm Wednesday at Vaughn-Walker Chapel, with the Rev. George W Gray officiating. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery. Mrs. Simmons will lie in state after 3:30 this afternoon at Vaugh-Walker Chapel. Mrs. Simmons was born in Lexington, October 14, 1883, the daughter of James and Ellen Paradise Rosewell. She was married to Charles Ennis Simmons, who died October 1, 1940. She is survived by two brothers , Claude and Vincent Rosewell, both of Lexington. two nieces Mrs. Corene Skinner, Lexington, and Mrs. Almarine Rooks, Phoenix, Ariz. Two children preceded her in death.
