Mr. Boone, age 82, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 1975 at the residence. He had been a resident of the Lansing area for 55 years coming from Chesaning. He was an Ingham County Dupty Sheriff for 50 years and Circuit Court Officer for Judge Samuel Street Hughes and Judge Charles Hayden. He is survived by his wife, Eva L.; two sons Merlin O. of Mississippi and Don L. of Lansing; 1 daughter Mrs. Earl (Lillian) Ewing of Lansing; 4 grandchildren;several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Palmer-Bush Funeral Home.
The mother of his children is Irene Lovinia Bennett who he married on August 17, 1912 in Saginaw, Saginaw, Michigan They were divorced before 1929. Burton remarried to Eva Watts June 1, 1929 in Lansing, Ingham, Michigan
