Donald Duane Culbertson, 80, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Culbertson was born April 11, 1932, in Bloomfield, Mo.

As a young man, he served with the U.S. Air Force as a bombardier during the Korean War. Mr. Culbertson was a member of First United Methodist Church in Poplar Bluff, and was a thirty-second degree Mason. He had retired as a lineman for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Mr. Culbertson enjoyed walking, reading, guns, and collecting eclectic items.

In 1957, he married Katherine Smith in Aberdeen, Miss. She preceded him in death on Aug. 16, 2004.

Survivors include two children, Cindy Million and husband, Dean and Jeff Culbertson and wife, Sandra; a granddaughter, Lauren Lady; a great-grandson, Tristan Lady, all of Poplar Bluff; and a sister, Helen Brockmire and husband, Dan, of Washington State.

His parents, Chesley O. and Ruth (Cozart) Culbertson also preceded him in death.

Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with a Masonic Service following at 4:00 p.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service with full military honors will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff with Rev. Kenneth Gaines officiating.
