Miss Mary L. Saale Dies at Age 70
For 40-Years She Was With Utilities Office
Miss Mary Lucilla Saale, 403 Polk Street, died at 6 o'clock this morning at the Chillicothe hospital. Miss Saale was transferred during this weekend from the St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City to the local hospital where she was a patient for five days. She had been in failing health for four months and underwent surgery in Kansas City in March.
Miss Saale a daughter of Adam Saale and Louisa (Pierson) Saale was born June 26, 1899 in Chillicothe. She was an employee of the minicipal utilities office for 40 years before here (Sic.) retirement in 1962. She had spent her lifetime in Chillicothe.
She was a member of the St. Colomban's Catholic church.
Survivors are a sister, Miss Etta Saale, and two brothers, Edward Saale and Clarence Saale.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at St. Colomban's Catholic church. Internment will be in the St. Colomban cemetery.
The rosary service will be held at 7:30 Friday evening at the chapel of the Gordon Home for Funerals.
