Claude E. Lewis
TUSCUMBIA – Claude E. Lewis, 85, 715 S. Beaupree St., died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1992, at his residence after a brief illness.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Colbert County, retired Church of Christ minister, retired from Reynolds, and member of Machinists Local 1189. He was the widower of Clarice Thompson Lewis, father of the late Edward Lee Lewis and Gilbert Lewis, and member of Valdosta Church of Christ.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Morrison Funeral Home chapel, Tuscumbia, with Ed White officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include son, Doyle Lewis, Tuscumbia; daughters, Mary E. Lewis Isbell, Madison, Martha Lewis Foster, Tuscumbia; sister, Maudie Crittenden, Muscle Shoals; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be grandsons.
