Robert Joseph Vincent, 92, formerly of Stinson, died Friday, June 17, 2011, in Orlando, Fla.
He was the son of the late Hershal and Ada Henry Vincent.
He was raised in Calhoun County and farmed with his father and brothers. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps, was a U.S. Army veteran of Central Europe and France during World War II, earning a Purple Heart, and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He worked in plants in Akron, Ohio, and was a construction foreman in Charleston and Bloomington, Ind.
Surviving are six children, Judith Chaney, Helen White and Charles Vincent, all of Charleston, Sandra Black of Madison, Ind., Robert Vincent of Woodbridge, Va., and Greg Vincent of Bloom-ington; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and long-time companion, Pat McHale of Orlando.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Knotts Carte of Chloe; his second wife, Agnes Sorrells; three brothers, Everette Vincent, Kenneth Vincent and John Vincent; and one sister, Maud Yost Arnold.
