"H. N. (Harold) Timmons, 72, a resident of Wheeling, died Monday evening at Hedrick Medical Center where he had been a patient four weeks.

Mr. Timmons was born March 29, 1903, at Clarksburg, Ohio, the son of Benjamin Gladstone Timmons and Mento Rebecca Hosler Timmons. He attended the New York school near Wheeling and the Wheeling High School. On August 27, 1927, he married Norma Lee Jamison at Chillicothe. He was a member of the Wheeling United Methodist Church. Mr. Timmons was a retired farmer and stockman. He farmed north of Wheeling until Sept. 1, 1974, at which time he moved into Wheeling.

In addition to his wife Norma, he is survived by a son, Richard Timmons of Olathe, Kan.; four daughters, Mrs. Veta May Dean of St Joseph, Mrs. Tiny Tiemeyer of Meadville, Mrs. Joan Gray of Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. Juanita Devel of Bloomington, Minn.; three brothers, Russell Timmons of Chillicothe, Jesse Timmons and Sid Timmons, both of Meadville; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Campbell of New Holland, Ohio, Mrs. Marjorie Calloway of Meadville, and Mrs. Evelyn Kibler of Chillicothe; 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Melvin, in 1962; a grandson and a daughter-in-law.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Wheeling United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael White officiating. Burial will be in the Wheeling Cemetery under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home." The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, October 28, 1975
