ELKHORN— Donald Kenneth Bromeland Sr., 84, of W5488 County Road ES, Elkhorn, WI, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center. He was born on Aug. 18, 1920, son of Silas and Mae Eva (Darnell) Bromeland. Donald married Mary Jane Jacobsen in Elkhorn on Dec. 4, 1954; Mary Jane died on April 6, 1993. Donald farmed in the Elkhorn area for over 45 years, retiring in 1985. He was a former member of the Boots and Saddle Club, the Draft Horse Assoc., and board member of the LaFayette Cemetery Assoc. Donald is survived by his 6 children: Barbara Bromeland of Elkhorn, Donald Kenneth Bromeland Jr. of New London, WI, Nancy (Bruce) Yeske of Milton, WI, Jerry Bromeland of Elkhorn, Linda Mowery of Whitewater, WI, and Robert Bromeland of Delavan, WI; 7 grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Maxine (James) Krueger of East Troy, WI, and Shirley Kramer of Elkhorn. He was preceded in death by his wife; and a brother, Kenneth. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004, at LAFAYETTE CEMETERY in the Town of LaFayette, WI. Arrangements by HAASE-DERRICK-LOCKWOOD FUNERAL HOME of Elkhorn.
