BRESLEY RITES AT ARCADIA TUESDAY
William Edgar Bresley, better known as Edgar, was born near Ord, Nebraska, August 16, 1914. He passed on at the University hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, February 11, 1961, at the age of 46 years, five months and 25 days. He was the victim of an illness that became apparent only in November of 1960. His parents were Clarence Bresley and Ollie Cronk Bresley. Edgar lived all of his life in Valley county and for the past 16 years he lived in the Arcadia vicinity. He had been employed several years as a mechanic for the Middle Loup Public Power and Irrigation District. He also was engaged in farming. Edgar was married to Glendora Duryea at Bartlett, Nebraska, December 27, 1937.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife and two sons, James and Jerry, of Arcadia; two daughters, Jean and Judith of Lincoln; and one brother, Calvin of North Loup.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Thelma Street; and one brother, Keith Bresley.
Funeral services were held at the Arcadia Methodist church Tuesday at 2 pm. Burial was in the Arcadia cemetery.
