SNYDER - Altha Mae Chatellier Snyder, a homemaker, died Monday at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was 78. Mrs. Snyder was a lifelong resident of Madisonville. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Snyder; four sons, Rich, Ronnie, Billy and Paul Fitzmorris; two daughters, Cheryl F. Bourgeois and Christine S. Catchot; a brother, Arthur J. Chatellier; four sisters, Bernice C. Mayeux, Colleen C. Bardwell, Mary Brewster and Sandy C. Granger; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A Mass will be said Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 306 St. Mary St., Madisonville. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Theo-Dendinger Cemetery in Madisonville. Schoen Funeral Home in Covington is in charge of arrangements.
