David E. Elmergreen, “Mickey” age 56, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1992 at the American Health Care Center in Appleton after a lengthy illness.
He was born June 30, 1936 in Milwaukee the son of the late Eugene and Esther (Franzen) Elmergreen. He attended St. Mary’s school in Stockbridge and was a graduate of Stockbridge High School in 1945.
He was married on Aug. 29, 1959 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stockbridge to Carol Alger. After the marriage the couple resided in the Stockbridge area where Mr. Elmergreen worked as a painter and wall-covering contractor for several years until the time be became disabled. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Stockbridge. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; his stepmother, Marcella Elmergreen of Bowler; three daughter and sons-in-law, Mrs. Doug (Judy) Vogel of Brillion, Mrs. Kent (Josie) Ecker and Mrs. Ken (Jean) Mueller, all of Stockbridge; a son, David at home; five grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Mrs. Richard (Rosalie) Parsons, of Stockbridge; and six half-brothers, Michael, Richard, James, Donald, Edward and Dennis Elmergreen.
Services were scheduled at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stockbridge with the Rev. Leander Nickel officiating. Spring burial will be in the parish cemetery.
