Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Bradley were held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock in Grand Island with Rev. Earl Raitt, pastor of the Methodist church conducting the services. Mrs. Clarence Budick and Mrs. Raitt sang two numbers. Burial was in Grand Island cemetery. Former friends, all of Wood River, served as pallbearers. They were Lloyd Howe, Frank Bald, Willian Bouton, Carl McGlasson, Edsel Hauke and Jerome Paulk. . .
As Ellen Rydberg, the deceased was born on September 19, 1885, and had reached the age of 52 years, 11 months and 10 days at the time of her death which occurred Tuesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert Herman in Grand Island which whom she had made her home for several years. Prior to going to Grand Island she had lived with her father, Godfrey Rydberg, in Wood River until his death.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Herman of Grand Island, and Mrs. Maxine Sprague of South Dakota, and by two grandchildren. Her parents preceded her in death several years ago. Also surviving are three sisters and four brothers, Mrs. Hazel Carter, of Grand Island; Mrs. Marie McKelvey, of Omaha; Mrs. Golda Bolm, of Rapid City, S. D.; Grand Rydberg, of Omaha; Vern Rydberg, of New Jersey, and Paul and Carl Rydberg, both of South Dakota.
