LaGrange, Ga., January 1. - (Special) - Julius L. Schaub, Sr., of 119 Broad Street, this city, died at midnight Sunday. Mr. Schaub, who had a chill while at his photograph gallery on Church Street last Wednesday morning, had gradually failed in health for the past year. He was in his sixty-eighty year, and had he lived until January 9 would have been 69 years of age. He was born in Davidson County, North Carolina, January 9, 1843. He enlisted in Company B, Fourteenth regiment, North Carolina volunteers and served throughout the civil war in the Army of Northern Virginia. He is said to have been in more than seventy battles and engagements during the war.
