Iris J. Bomstad was born June 16th 1929. She met, fell in love and married (eloped with) Walter C. Bomstad in Idaho on November 15th, 1947. They then proceeded to have their children starting with Marlene, Wanda, Darold *(deceased) and David. After Walters death on January 9th, 1989 in Soap Lake, WA, Iris lived in Springdale with her family. She had a very bad stroke in 1998 and soon couldn't walk anymore, thus ending up in a wheelchair. She lost her home in 1999 due to foreclosure. She then moved into Kettle Falls, Washington with her daughter and sons. Then, she lived in the Aladdin Family home for a few months. Then she moved and lived in Pinewood Terrace Nursing Home in Colville, Washington until the time of her unexpected death on December 12th, 2003. She loved to teach piano lessons, cook..basically everything. She was a wonderful woman and always cared about her family. She will be greatly missed. Her ashes were cremated, as her wishes were stated and given to her oldest daughter Marlene.
