Jeanette Aytes Miller, of Johns Island, widow of Roy L. Miller and a retired employee of Pre School Academy, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at a local hospital.

Jeanette was born March 22, 1926, in Charleston, a daughter of John Edward and Ethel Jones Aytes.

She attended Charleston area schools and was a member of the Cathedral of St. Luke and St. Paul.

Jeanette is survived by two daughters: Margaret Boyer (Billy) of Wagener, SC and Carol Causey of Johns Island; two sons: Roy L. Miller, Jr. (Hilda) and Allen Miller (Frankie Lynn) both of Johns Island; a sister, Margaret Aytes McKellips of Charleston. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The relatives and friends of Jeanette A. Miller are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 18, 2012, at the Graveside, Holy Cross Cemetery, on James Island.

The family will receive friends this Friday evening between 5:00 and 7:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy.

Memorial contributions may be made to either the Cathedral of St. Luke and St. Paul Building Fund, 126 Coming St. Charleston, SC 29403 or to Respite Care Ministries, 405 King St. Charleston, SC 29403 in Jeanette's memory. Arrangements by JAMES A. MCALISTER Funerals & Cremation 766-1365.
