Cora was the first wife of William Harvey Bolander. They had 4 children Paul, twins Wilbur & Wilma, and Mildred. Cora died in 1918 after suffering from the influenza epidemic which began in Kansas and was spread throughout the world. Largely because of WWI.

William Harvey re-married in 1920, to Cora's younger sister Lena
Fricke-Bolander.
