He was born October 7, 1933 in Clover Bend, Arkansas the son of John and Lillie (Weaver) Kiefer.
James was a retired owner and operator of a timber business and was a member of the Holden Avenue Church of Christ, Newport Arkansas.
James is survived by one son, & three daughters, eight grandchildren, one sister, three brothers, and his best friend, Ramona P..
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda (Bayles) Kiefer Bass; His parents; maternal & paternal grandparents, two brothers, Robert and Joe; and one nephew, Donald.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday Sept 27th at Coffeyville Cemetery with Bro. Don Robinson officiating.
