Velma Fay Adams, 89, died Aug. 8, 2002, of natural causes in Klamath Falls.

Mrs. Adams was born May 12, 1913, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Wes Walter and Vera Bell (Higgins) Thompkins.

She was a waitress in the officers club at Kingsley Field, worked in the potato sheds, and oversaw rental property with her husband.

Mrs. Adams enjoyed sewing, making quilts, going on drives, and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1989 and a grandson, Charles Manning.
