He was a carpenter, building many homes and structures in and around Santaquin. For many years he farmed and ran a fruit business before moving to Kanab.
He is survived by 8 children, Wade, Pamela, Troy, Michael (Beckie), Todd, Kari, Cody (Amy) and Heidi; 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim (Bonnie) Openshaw, Debbie (Rodney) Egan. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tom Openshaw.
A viewing will be held Saturday, June 28th from 10:00-11:00 am at the Brown Family Mortuary, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 am at the Santaquin Cemetery.
