He married Clarice Greenhalgh on October 12, 1951.
Berk worked for U.S. Steel at Geneva for over 37 years. He served as a volunteer fireman for the city of Santaquin for many years. He was a baseball pitcher for the local city leagues. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping with his family. Berk was also an avid trap shooter and ran the local trap for the Santaquin Fire Department for many years. He is proceeded in death by his parents and two sons, Larry and Twane, a daughter-in-law Jill, a great granddaughter Kenya Tapia.
Survived by his wife, sons, Curtis (Cordie) Peterson, Randy (Marilyn) Peterson, Bart (Kathy) Peterson; brother Kay Peterson and sister Donna Shockey; 16 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Monday April 5, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm at the Holladay Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East Santaquin, Utah. Graveside services will be held Tuesday April 6, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Santaquin City Cemetery.
