He joined under the assumed name of Thomas Bernard Walters. Our grandfather married Rita Ulloa Aguon Aug 22, 1903 in Guam while in the Marines. They had 1 child: Joseph Aguon Walters, 1904-1981. Our grandfather later married our grandmother, Maud Sayers, on Feb 26, 1912. They had 4 children, Roy Gardner Sayers, 1911-1993, Daniel Herbert Sayers, 1912-1984, Ruth Sayers, 1914-1915, and Janet Leona Sayers, 1919-1994.
