Granville Cozad Dies
Granville C. Cozad, 17 South Commercial St., a retired Santa Re Railroad employee, died Monday morning in Newman Memorial County Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel. They will be conducted by the Rev. J. Joyce Wilson, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church. Graveside services in Memorial Lawn Cemetery will be conducted by Emporia Masonic Lodge 12, A.F. and A.M.
Mr. Cozad, the son of David H. and Mary A. Cox Cozad, was born Sept. 16th, 1907, in Emporia, and he was married to Martha F. Pool on Aug. 17th, 1930, in Wichita.
He was a member of the Emporia Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents and five sisters, Julia Ann and Ena LIone, Cozad, Nellie Stutesman, Mable Beeson and Flora Knox, and he is survived by his wife, of the home; one son, Carroll (Billie) Cozad, Olpe; one brother, H. Byron Cozad, 210 South Merchant St.; two grandchildren, Michael and Robert Cozad, Olpe; three step-grandchildren, Kinny Heins, Kansas City, and James and Janice Heins, Olpe; and three great-grandchildren.
