Flora, Indiana--Bright M. Shaffer, 81, formerly of Flora, Indiana, died at 4:05 a.m. today in Milner Health Care Center, Rossville, Indiana.
She was born October 22, 1902, in Cutler, Indiana to Noah and Ada Bishop Flora. In 1922, she was married to Doyle Shaffer who died in 1967.
She was a retired school teacher and had taught for 25 years in Cutler Elementary School. She was a graduate of Cutler High School and Valparaiso University and was a member of Cutler Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Bettie Rodkey, Denver, Colorado; a sister, Dorothea Blue, Flora; two brothers: Glen Flora, Cutler and Paul D. Flora, Bonita Springs, Florida; a grandson and a great granddaughter.
Two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Don Denton officiating.
