Orval Allen "Roddy" Rademacher passed away August 13, 2012. He was born July 27, 1915 in Worden, Illinois to Herman and Anna Rademacher. Roddy served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired from Dempster Brothers, Inc. after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Robert D. Rademacher and his beloved wife Hazel. Roddy is survived by his daughters Linda Brock and husband Bob and Ann Braley and husband Brian. His grandchildren are Michael Brock, Mary Braley and fiancé Brock Chance and Cole Braley and wife Becca and great grandchildren Chance, Kambri, and Morgan Braley. Roddy was a Charter Member and a very active member of Messiah Lutheran Church where he loved attending with family and friends. He was always a gentleman with a generous, kind and loving nature. He will be missed by all those whose lives were enriched by knowing him. His family wishes to give heartfelt thanks to his caregiver Carrie Potter and the staff at The Fountains at Canterbury for their loyal and loving care of this dear man. The family will receive guests at Hahn-Cook Funeral Home on Friday from 6-7:30 p.m. The funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel with interment in Memorial Park Cemetery. Donations may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.
