Former Ashland resident, Albert Roy Richmond, 79, of Mooresville, N.C., died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, N.C.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Denbow-Primm-Kemery Funeral Home in Ashland with the Rev. Deb Patterson officiating. Entombment will be at Ashland County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1605 County Road 1095, Ashland, 44805. He was born Dec. 10, 1921, in Marshall County, W.Va., to Milford and Myrtle (Miller) Richmond and married Evelyn Warner on Sept. 27, 1954. She died Nov. 28, 1994. Surviving are a daughter, Sondra Welsh of Mooresville, N.C.; grandchildren: Lou Ann (Mike) Alery and Todd Welsh; great-grandchildren: Sondra Alery and Matthew Alery; and sisters: Virginia Richmond of Norton and Melba Faresik of Mentor.
