Mary L. Maertens, of Warren, died peacefully July 25, 2012, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was 88 years old. Mary was born May 13, 1924, in Grosse Pointe to Elisa (nee Tassaert) and Emeric Maertens.
She is survived by her loving nephews, Michael (Elizabeth) Maertens and James (Marilyn) Maertens, caring sister-in-law, Barbara Maertens, and great nieces and nephews, Leslie, Michael, Jennifer, Christina, Katherine, Matthew, and Daniel. Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Marshall Maertens.
A funeral service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Friday 2pm. Burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit.
