Dewey J. Bolin was born July 11, 1894 at Hutton Valley, MO the son of Hercules and Lara Clara Bolin and departed this life on April 13, 1989 at Birch View Nursing Center in Birch Tree, MO at the age of 94 years. He was married to Lula M. Allison on September 22, 1912 at Eminence, MO and to this union two children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lula; twelve brothers and sisters; and one grandson. He is survived by one son, Jim Bolin and daughter-in-law, Berneice of Eminence, MO; one daughter, Evelyn Sapp of Springfield, MO; one granddaughter, Marilyn Bland and husband Curtis of Eminence, MO; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Dewey was a member of the First Baptist Church, taught a bible class and from time to time preached. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 15 at 1 pm in the Duncan Funeral Chapel at Eminence with brother Herald DeWeese officiating. Interment was in Munsell Cemetery under the direction of the Duncan Funeral Home of Mtn. View.
