Mr. Carl Thomas Lineberry Sr., 82, of 2558 Pine Top Avenue, died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997, at Veterans Administration Hospital in Durham after a long illness. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Lillie Chambers Lineberry, and the son of Mr. Ottis Carl Lineberry and Mrs. Cassie Tyson Lineberry, both deceased. He was a retired from Copland Fabrics and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Burlington Ward. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mae Maness of Snow Camp, Mrs. Rebecca Scott of Conway, S.C., and Mrs. Clara Sykes of Burlington; two sons, Mr. Carl Thomas Lineberry Jr. of Swepsonville and Mr. John Lineberry of Graham; one stepson, Mr. Finley Bailiff of Greensboro; one sister, Mrs. Annie Lee Mitchell of Burlington; 24 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jerry Flood, the Rev. John Flood and the Rev. Dillon Woodell, all of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Burial will be in McCray Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
