LeRoy A. "Fluffy" Wallace, 79, of Grove, Okla., died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at his home.
He was born Feb. 3, 1924, at Columbus, to William and Iva Mae Carter Wallace.
He was a 1942 graduate of Columbus High School.
He attended Central Electronics College at Kansas City, Mo.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy from December of 1942 until January of 1946.
He married Mary Lou Wells on March 30, 1946, at Columbus. She survives of the home.
Mr. Wallace worked as an electronics engineer for 40 years.
He was a member of the Keith Reeves American Legion Post No. 3 of Columbus.
Additional survivors include one son, LeRoy Wallace II of Westfield, Mass.; three daughters, Linda Buswell of Marengo, Iowa, Judy Shimandle of LaGrange, Ga., and LeRae Miller of Joplin, Mo.; two sisters, Naomi "Pete" Browning of Sarasota, Fla., and Lucy Ochsenbein of Columbus; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie Wallace, Clarence Wallace and Raymond Wallace; four sisters, Pauline Baldwin, Maxine Baldwin, Gladys Lucas and Arlene Crain, and three infant siblings.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Murdock Funeral Home at Columbus with the Rev. Wallace Baldwin officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Keith Reeves American Legion Post No. 3 of Columbus.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murdock Funeral Home of Columbus.
