Tessie Jeffries Lineberry, 89, of 2113 Lower Hopedale Road, Burlington, died at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Alamance County Hospital after five years of failing health and a critical illness of four days. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Archie F. Lineberry who survives and daughter of George and Illa Jones Jeffries, both deceased. She was retired from Tower Hosiery Mills and was a member of Glencoe Baptist Church. Survivors other than her husband of the home include four daughters, Mrs. Helen Naylor and Mrs. Betty Faulkner, both of Burlington, Mrs. Georgia Faukner of Greensboro and Mrs. Doris Dickens of Florida; two sons, Torlie Lee Lineberry and Ernest Boyd Lineberry, both of Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Vallie Smith of Graham and Mrs. Lillian Wright of Burlington; two brothers, Walter Jeffries and Winfred Jeffries, both of Graham; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grnadchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at McClure Chapel in Grama by the Rev. Fleton Massey, pastor of Nall Memorial Baptist Church, and the Rev. Kenneth Hopkins, pastor of Glencoe Baptist Church. Burial will be in the McCray Cemetery.
