Dorothy Laviegne Loebig, of Sioux Falls, S.D., age 78, passed away suddenly at her home on Friday, August 10, 2012.
Born in Iowa City, Iowa, she graduated from Britt High School, where she was the class homecoming queen and band majorette, class of 1952.
Married to Al Loebig of Wesley, Iowa, they had five children together: Michael (Vicki) Loebig of Texarkana Ark., Larry Loebig of Sioux Falls, Suzanne (David) Potratz of Sioux Falls, and David Loebig of Sioux Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband Al, and her son, Stephen (Chief) Loebig of Nashville, Tenn. She was also foster mother to Scott Parsons of Seattle, Wash., and Calvin Carriger of Hampton, Iowa. She was blessed with nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She will be is greatly missed by all that knew her.
A graveside service will be held at the St. Joseph Cemetery, Wesley, on Wednesday, August 15, at 1:30 p.m. Please join the family following the internment for refreshments and St. Joseph Church, Wesley.
