She was born on a farm in Robertson County, Texas, one of 13 children. She and the late John G. Bills were married in 1928. They opened a candy factory in Clinton, Okla., and the business grew until they were selling throughout western Oklahoma.
Her husband later became a minister and they were with churches in Texas and Colorado before coming to San Diego in 1938.
He was minister of the Church of Christ in San Diego.
She was a Bible School teacher in the church for many years.
After her husband died in 1957 she worked in downtown departent stores. She retired in 1978.
She is survived by a daughter and son, Lynda Barlow of El Cajon and John G. Bills, Jr. of San Diego, a brother, Zilman McCracken of Odessa, Texas, and three grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday in Church of Christ, 2528 El Cajon Blvd. Entombment was in Cypress View Mausoleum.
