Ted Martin, formerly with U.S. Steel Corp. for 34 years, died Tuesday at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, Martinez. He was 89.
The native of Breckenridge, Iowa, lived in Pittsburg before moving to Antioch 67 years ago. He served in the merchant marine from 1924 to 1927, and was a member of the Lapidary Club.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Evelyn C. Martin, of Antioch; and two grandchildren. One son and one daughter preceded him in death.
