Catherine H. Cruz age 68, of RR 1, Box 108C, Stevensville, Pa., died Friday evening, Feb. 18, 2011. Catherine was a daughter of James and Helen (Sullivan) Gallagher, born on Long Island, N.Y., Nov. 22, 1942. On Feb. 18, 2011, she and Richard L. Cruz, Sr. celebrated their 51st anniversary. Catherine was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 70, Meshoppen, Pa. She enjoyed baking Christmas cookies during the holidays. She enjoyed spending time watching her children in their various school activities and then later her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed watching her grandson wrestle. She is survived by her loving husband Richard, of Stevensville; her son Richard Jr., Wyalusing; her daughter Dawn (Tom) Rogers, Guildhall, Vt., two step-granddaughters, Tane' Cruz and Gina Genoble; two grandsons, Richard III and Thomas Jr.; two granddaughters, Olivia and Emma-Mae; a great-granddaughter Rorri; and a sister Helen Delillo, Stoney Brook, N.Y. She was predeceased by her parents; parents' in-laws; two brother-in-laws; and her brother. Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Camptown cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Lupus Foundation.
