Myrtle Gibson, 92, widow of Ranie Adkinson and Raymond Gibson died Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Charleston Health Care Manor in Danville. Born September 29, 1919, in Mercer County, Myrtle was the daughter of the late Howard and Gertie Tyler Camden. She was the bookkeeper for the Harrodsburg Herald for many years. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Myrtle is survived by a son: Lee and his wife Janet Adkinson of Texas, a daughter: Janyce Brothers of Harrodsburg, five step children: Maggie (Bob) Bunton of Versailles, Mildred (Herbert) Sharp of Lancaster, Linda (Calvin) Gibson of Perryville, Roger (Phyllis) Gibson of Danville and Dennis (Emily) Gibson of Bradfordsville, four grandchildren: Sean Adkinson, Robyn Reinle, Chris Brothers and Scott Brothers, four great grandchildren: Austin Brothers, Mason Shipp, Emma Reinle and Madelyn Reinle, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Myrtle was preceded in death by: two step daughters: Shelby Jean Bottoms and Joyce Day, a sister: Ella Bell Devine and a niece: Brenda Sallee. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Hilary Claypool officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Sean Adkinson, Chris Brothers, Scott Brothers, Roger Gibson, Dennis Gibson and Steve Godbey serving as pallbearers.
