Weston R. Anderson, 83, died on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at the Menno-Olivet Care Center. Weston R. Anderson the son of Jefda and Rose (Lamberg) Anderson was born on August 22, 1924 in Estelline, SD. When Weston was very young both of his parents had preceded him in death and he was raised by Athalia "Dolly" and his sister, Mildred. Weston moved to Detroit, MI and he enlisted and served in the United States Navy. Weston was honorably discharge on April 5, 1946. Weston was united in marriage with Marie LaBrie in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa on August 18, 1973. He worked in the plumbing business for many years and had lived in Sioux City, IA for 30 years. In August of 2004 he became a resident of the Menno-Olivet Care Center. He enjoyed going to the dog track in Sioux City. Grateful for having shared his life are a sister, Evelyn Johnson, Broken Arrow, OK; a special niece, Karla (Gary) Gagnon, Sioux Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie, on June 3, 1985, his parents and 10 brothers and sisters, Walter Anderson, Wesley Anderson, Willard Anderson, Agnes Wardip, Lillian Nenzel, Ruth Nathan, Mildred Schorg, Esther Gibson, Viola Walo, Lulu Johnson. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Friday, December 14, 2007 at Lake Poinsett Cemetery.
