In a discussion with my mom Lavina (Barckley) Besanson, George's granddaughter, She said that there was a flood or big storm with heavy rains and the heavy rains washed George and other people's markers away. She said that she could never find her grandfather's grave site again after that storm.

Barckly Rites Held Yesterday
Funeral services for George Washington Barckly, 88, who died about midnight Thursday at the Iron County infirmary, were held yesterday afternoon at 2 oclock from the home of his son, William, in Iron River. Burial was in the Iron River cemetery. The Rev. Axel Anderson pastor of the Iron River Baptist church officiated.
Mr. Barckly was born May 1, 1845 at Union City, Pennsylvania. About five years ago he came to this city. Much of his life was spend in Wisconsin, were he owned a store. He also lived in Canada for several years.
His wife died in 1902. He is survived by there sons, William, of Iron River: Arthur, of Shamrock, Wis.; and Carl, of Spokane, Wash.; and one daughter, Mrs. Jessie Mead, of Oconto, Wis.
