Perryman, Ashley, Jr., “Blue Bird” age 83 of Loudon, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011. He retired from the Tennessee State Highway Department after 35 years of service. He was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church. “Junior” enjoyed collecting and trading old cars, guitar jam sessions with friends, as well as UT and Loudon Redskin football, but one of his true passions was talking on his CB radio, his most recent call name “Blue Bird”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ashley Perryman, Sr., and Zora Shular Perryman, sister, Geneva Perryman Fox and half-brother, Claude Shular. He is survived by his children, Larry Ray Perryman, Mary Joyce Day, Debra Jane Perryman, all of Knoxville, Crystal Gayle Cubberley and husband, Duane, Lenoir City; step-children, Donnie Eugene Ward and Gerald Wayne Ward, both of Loudon; Delinda Russell and husband, James and Christine Matoy all of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Lori, Alisha, Daniel, Justin, Angel, Emma and Sophia; step-grandchildren, Dustin and Stephanie; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Omer Perryman, Morristown; Raymond Perryman and wife, Mary, Nashville; sisters Catherine Flynn, Sevierville and Maude Williams, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 7:00 PM Saturday, McGill-Karnes Chapel with Rev. Gene Russell officiating. Interment 1:00 PM Sunday in Corinth Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mr. Perryman may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 154, Loudon, TN 37774. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 PM Saturday prior to the service at McGill-Karnes Funeral Home, Loudon
