Mr. Frederick E. Truettner Sr., 66, formerly of 7308 Cty. Tk. LS., Manitowoc, died Sunday, Jan. 8, at Park Lawn Nursing Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. Robert Hays will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Truettner was born Feb. 2, 1917, at Newton, Wis., son of the late Ernest and Hermine Wernecke Truettner. He attended schools in Manitowoc Co. He was a Veteran of World War II. He married Loretta Spaeth on May 3, 1941, at Manitowoc. Mr. Truettner was a former rural school teacher and was an insurance man for the Wisconsin Life Insurance Co. for 30 years. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, a member of the Underwriters Association, Travlers Protective Association and a Senior citizen. Mr. Truettner was Town Clerk of Newton for 18 years.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Gary and Mary Ellen Truettner of Manitowoc, Fred and Lonette Truettner Jr. of Rt. 2, Sheboygan, Keith and Brenda Truettner of Madison and Donald Truettner of Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Emmett Wagner of Manitowoc; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda and Arno Meisner of Manitowoc and Irma Polster of Newton; five grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to the time of services. Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
