Mrs. Theresa M. Stueber, 76, of 964 Rosemere Circle, Manitowoc, died Tuesday afternoon, March 22, at the family residence.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Leo J. Schmitt and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Stueber, the former Theresa M. Mrotek, was born Jan. 2, 1907, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Peter Mrotek and Mary Tadych Mrotek Pickem. She was a lifelong Manitowoc County resident, who resided at Manitowoc and Whitelaw and was married to Clarence P. Stueber Aug. 23, 1925, at St. Boniface Church, Manitowoc. She had been employed with Mirro Corporation, White House Milk Company and Globe Laundry and was also co-owner and operator of the Midget Cafe. She and her husband owned and operated Porkies Bar and Bowling Alley in Whitelaw before their retirement. She was a member of Christian Mothers Altar Society of Holy Innocents Church. Mr. Stueber preceded her in death Oct. 26, 1981.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Vivian Bergel of Francis Creek; a brother, Ernest Pickem and a sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Robert Westdrop of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three grandchildren, Bonnie and Ernest J. Krajnik of Francis Creek, Michael Lemberger of Union Grove and Miss Mary Lou Bergel of Francis Creek and three great grandchildren, Jennifer, Clint and Bret Krajnik. Two brothers, Floyd and Martin Pickem, a sister, Cele Traurig and a grandson, Billie Lemberger preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. by Deacon Kenneth Nelesen.
