Reuben C. Strodthoff, age 90, a former Two Rivers resident, died early Wednesday
morning, April 30, 1997, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 2, 1997, at Klein and Stangel
Funeral Home, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be Rev. David Scherbarth
with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Reuben was born January 29, 1907, in Newton, son of the late John and Mary Frosch
Strodthoff. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Reuben was
employed with the United States Postal Service for many years until his retirement.
He was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Rivers.
Survivors include one sister, Clara Bergene, Whitelaw; one sister-in-law, Mrs.
Clarence Strodthoff, Two Rivers; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also
survive. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Lila Klug, Viola Koch, Edna
Rank; one brother, Clarence.
Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home on Friday morning from 10 a.m.
until the time of service at 11 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
