Esther I. Sittman, age 95, a longtime Manitowoc resident, died Wednesday morning, Jan. 19, 2005, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. Esther was born Aug. 4, 1909, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Matt and Elsie Frosch Lambries. She was employed at Lakeside Packing for 12 years. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Elizabeth and Edward Sauer, Germantown; two sons and daughters-in-law: Richard and Rosemary Miller, David and Kathleen Miller, all of Manitowoc; a daughter-in-law: Evelyn Burbey, West Bend; two brothers: Matt Lambries and Louis Lambries, both of Manitowoc; and three sisters and a brother-in-law: Lee Lampada, Kenosha; Bette and Louis Schram and Violet Wester; and a sister-in-law: Carole Awe, all of Manitowoc. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son: Frank Burbey Jr.; three brothers: Henry Lambries, Billy Lambries and Howard Awe; a sister: Evelyn Wilson; two sisters-in-law: Anna Lambries and Sally Lambries; three brothers-in-law: John Wester Sr., Wayne Wilson and Peter Lampada; and a great-granddaughter: Tiffany. The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, from 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, until the time of service at 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Bob Beehner, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
