ELMER SILBERSACK

Elmer Silbersack, 56, of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, died Thursday evening at Holy
Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where he became a patient Tuesday afternoon
following a stroke at work. He was owner-operator of Elmer's Auto Sales,
17th and Washington streets, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 10:30
a.m. Saturday at Mittnacht Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Claude Le Clair will officiate and
burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Silbersack was born April 1, 1909, in the Town of Two Rivers, son of the
late Nick and Clara Kornely Silbersack. He attended Two Rivers schools and
Universal Aviation School at St. Louis, Mo., and was an airplane inspector
and mechanic in this area for several years. He operated a service station
and garage at Shoto in 1932, coming to Manitowoc in 1934 when he began Elmer's
Auto Sales.
Mr. Silbersack married Margaret Griesbach Oct. 19, 1943, and the couple lived
at Manitowoc until 1958, moving to a farm north of Shoto. He was a member of
Sea Gulls Club, Manitowoc Auto Dealers Assn., Traveler Protective Assn, and
Holy Name Society.
Surviving are his wife, a son, Thomas, two daughters, Peggy and Diane, of Rt.
2, Two Rivers, a brother, Clarence Silbersack, of Sheboygan and a sister, Mrs.
Paul Ruminski, of Two Rivers. A son, John, died in 1963.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 8
o'clock this Friday evening by members of Holy Name Society and Daughters of
Isabella.
