WIFE SURVIVES HUSBAND ONLY THIRTEEN DAYS
Just thirteen days after the death of her husband, her companion for half a
century passed away, Mrs. Albert Shimon, pioneer resident of the county,
passed away at the home of her son at Branch last night. Mr. Shimon was 82
years of age and Mrs. Shimon 81. Grief over the demise of her husband hastened
the death of the wife. The couple settled in Cooperstown in early days and had
resided here for many years. Two children, one son Wenzel at Branch and Mrs. J.
Hulitz, N. Eleventh street, this city, survive. Fourteen grandchildren also
survive. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at Branch, with burial at
Evergreen cemetery here.
