FORMER RAPIDS RESIDENT DIES AT TEXLINE, TEXAS
After a lingering illness, Mrs. Martha Shea, 58, a former resident of Manitowoc
Rapids, passed away Thursday at Texline, Texas, where she has made her home for
some time.
The deceased was born in Manitowoc Rapids as Martha Halverson. She is survived
by one sister, Ms. Mary Kolstad of Marshfield, Wis., and two brothers-in-law,
Herman Gustaveson, of Rapids and C.M. Madson of Cabot.
Funeral services will be held from the Vogelsang Funeral Home, corner 8th and
Marshall streets on Monday afternoon at 2:15 oclock. The body may be viewed from
two to four oclock in the afternoon and seven to nine oclock on Sunday evening.
Burial will take place at the Evergreen cemetery in this city.
