DOROTHY A. SEIBEL

Dorothy A. Seibel, age 86, a resident of Riverwood Estates, Manitowoc, died
Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Riverwood Estates.
She was born on March 21, 1923, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Alex and
Martha (Zalewski) Zagrodnik. Dorothy graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High
School with the class of 1941.
In 1947, she married Casper Seibel in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death in
1974. Dorothy was employed at the Manitowoc Shipyards for many years until her
retirement in 1975.
She was a member of St Francis of Assisi. Dorothy was an avid sports fan and
loved bowling, dancing, and going to the casino.
Survivors include one sister-in-law: Gladys Seibel, Manitowoc; Nephews and
nieces: Charles Kaderabek, Gary (Nancy) Kaderabek, Beverly Badker, all of
Manitowoc, Gilbert Diedrich, Valders, Ron (Barbara) Seibel, Appleton, Sandra
(Richard) Bedoe, Chicago, Marilyn (Gene) Weyer, Manitowoc, Barbara (Warren)
Knutsen, Manitowoc, and Linda (Jim) Tisler, Watertown; a special great-great
niece: (private), who shares Dorothy's birthday; she is further survived by
great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, other relatives and
friends. She was also preceded in death by sisters and brothers: Alex Zagrodnik,
Richard Jagodensky, Grace Chynoweth, Irene Krause, Alice Kaderabek, and Jane
Tadych; nieces: Janice Diedrich, Karen (Cookie) Gadzinski, Diane Nelson. Further
preceded in death by Sandy Kaderabek, Calvin D. Badker; two sisters-in-law:
Clara Seibel and Emily and Art Kawalee; one brother-in-law: Herbert Seibel; and
a special friend: George Yakubiak.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2009, at St.
Francis of Assisi on Marshall. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will
be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen. Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation
Center and Dorothy will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc,
following the service.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, June 20, 2009, at St.
Francis of Assisi on Marshall from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home and All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc is assisting
the family with funeral arrangements.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Riverwood Estates
for their gentle care of Dorothy.
