Mrs. Fred Schwartzenbart, 1219 Washington Street, died Sunday afternoon at the hospital where she had been a patient following an operation for appendicitis. She was 55 years of age. Her husband is also in failing health having been ill since January. The maiden name of the deceased was Emma Schmidt. She was born at English lake and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Schmidt. She was married to Mr. Schwartzenbart January 8, 1898 and after a years' residence in Ripon moved to this city and Mr. Schwartzenbart established the Manitowoc Bottling Works. Besides the husband, one son, Fred Jr., of this city, a daughter, Mrs. Rudolph Geimer, Two Rivers road; a brother, Louis Schmidt of this city, five sisters, Mrs. Meta Ansorge and Mrs. Herman Sieselhorst, city, Mrs. Henry Ewalt, Haven, Mrs. Jacob Boehringer of Loyal, Wis., Mrs. Wm Vogelsang, Landers, Wyoming survive.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon from the family home with interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Rev. Koeninger of the First German Evangelical Lutheran church officiated.
