Mrs. Marie A. Schurr, 89, of 911 N. 17th St., Manitowoc, died Saturday in St. Michael Hospital, Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Glenn Unke will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Schurr, nee Marie A. Kono, was born Nov. 26, 1889, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late August and Mary Guehlstorf Kono. She was married to Edwin C. Schurr June 26, 1913, in Manitowoc. Mr. Schurr preceded her in death April 13, 1963. She was a charter member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid Society of the church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Ruth Schurr of Kalamazoo, Mich., and John and Margaret Schurr of Dallas, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs. Marie Albrecht of Milwaukee; a brother, Karl Kono and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Gentgen of Manitowoc, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A brother, Harvey, and two sisters, Emma and Elsie, preceded her in death.
Friends may call in Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Monday afternoon and in the church from 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
