Richard A. Schultz, 69, of 815 Broadway Ave., died Monday at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility, where he had resided for the past three years. He was born in the town of Schleswig, Manitowoc County, on Nov. 12, 1909, son of Emil and Alvina Koeppen Schultz. He attended Kiel area schools.

In 1935 he married Theresa Biederwolf at Sheboygan. She died in 1946. On July 1, 1961 he married Mrs. Elva Gandre Eckert at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, of which he was a member.
Mrs. Schultz was employed at Kohler Co for 25 years, retiring in 1974.
Survivors are his wife; three sons, Ronald, Richard and Valentine; two step-sons, Konrad Martin and Edward Eckert; three step-daughters, Sandra and Karen Eckert and Mrs. LaVerne Welsch, all of Sheboygan; a brother, Oscar, Glenbeulah; two sisters, Mrs. Reinhold Horst, Kiel and Louise Hartman, New Mexico; 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. The Rev. Edmond Aho, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
